2011  Mock Draft

  Team Player Position School Details
1 Carolina Nick Fairley DL Auburn Fairley played well in the National Championship game.  Suh's dominating performance in 2010 helps the stock of the 1st Round DTs in the draft.
2 Denver Patrick Peterson CB LSU Denver's Defense needs all the help it can get. Dareus also a possibility here. John Fox will want take a Defensive player that can contribute quickly.
3 Buffalo Marcell Dareus DL Alabama Buffalo has there eye on defensive lineman, but if Dareus and Fairley are off the board, trading the pick or taking Gabbert is a posibility.  Bowers doesn't fit since they re-signed Merriman.
4 Cincinnati A.J. Green WR Georgia Since Carson Palmer is asking for a trade, Mike Brown will dig in his heels and do the opposite.
5 Arizona Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri Arizona needs help at QB.  Cardinals could also go with Defense.
6 Cleveland Da'Quan Bowers DE Clemson Looks like the Browns will play the 4-3 and Bowers makes things happen at Defensive End.
7 San Francisco Prince Amukamara CB Nebraska Not sure Jim Harbaugh likes Jake Locker enough to take him here.
8 Tennessee Aldon Smith DE Missouri A QB is a possibility here as well, but not sure Jeff Fisher wants to deal with a first round QB in the near future.
9 Dallas Mark Ingram RB Alabama Dallas needs help on the O-line and secondary, but have a feeling Jerry Jones wants some new flash at Running Back. Marion and Felix didn't break many runs in 2010.
10 Washington Jake Locker QB Washington Jake Locker is more mobile than Ryan Mallett. Jake Locker's workouts and interviews will be key in assessing his accuracy and ability to pick up the offense. However, Jake Plummer never got over a 60% completion rate in college (like Locker) and Shanahan still loved him.
11 Houston Akeem Ayers LB UCLA Houston needs help in the secondary.  Would take Peterson or Amukamara if they fall this far.
12 Minnesota Tryon Smith OT USC Vikings are getting old on the Offensive and Defensive Lines.
13 Detroit Robert Quinn DE North Carolina Quinn's stock fell with his suspension in 2010, but he could make a big impact on the Lions Defense.
14 St. Louis Julio Jones WR St. Louis Rams need a play making receiver for Sam Bradford.
15 Miami Ryan Mallett QB Arkansas Chad Henne did not get his team in the end zone enough in 2010.
16 Jacksonville Cam Newton QB Auburn Cam can now ring the cash register without any repercussions.
17 New England J.J. Watt DE Wisconsin New England has Oakland's first round pick.
18 San Diego Von Miller LB Texas A&M If a receiver falls to them, that might work as well. Miller looks smaller than 240 lbs.
19 New York Giants Anthony Costanzo OT Boston College Tom Coughlin was the Head Coach for BC in the 90s.
20 Tampa Bay Adrian Clayborn DE Iowa Tampa Bay's pick of Josh Freeman made the Bucs season last year.
21 Kansas City Derek Sherrod OT Miss State Not as many Offensive Line prospects in the 1st round this year.
22 Indianapolis Stephen Paea DT Oregon State Colts need to win a few games with Defense.
23 Philadelphia Brandon Harris CB Miami Philly's secondary was not good in 2010.
24 New Orleans Rahim Moore S UCLA Saints had trouble at Safety throughout the season.
25 Seattle Corey Liuget DT Illinois Seahawks may also look at a Receiver in the early rounds as well.
26 Baltimore Mike Pouncy G Florida Mike's brother has played well in the NFL.
27 Atlanta Justin Houston LB Georgia Falcons need more hard hitters after getting bounced from the Playoffs.
28 New England Jimmy Smith CB Colorado Patriots need more help at Cornerback.
29 Chicago Nate Solder OT Colorado Jay Cutler took too many hits in 2010.
